About Us
East-West Guitars was formed from an idea to have a retail outlet alongside my guitar repair business. My aim is to provide the music community in Ireland with high quality guitar and amplifier parts and accessories. I strive to make available innovative products and parts that I would personally recommend having tested them myself in my repair shop. In particular, I offer premium components to upgrade your existing guitar circuits to unleash tones that are hidden by cheap parts and sub-par components in some amplifiers.
When I first started this business I was importing pots from the USA and capacitors from Russia and Ukraine which is how the name East-West Guitars came about.
Now, we are an authorised dealer in Ireland for Tube Amp Doctor, Emerson Custom USA, Quilter Amplification, BRBS Effects, Babicz FCH, MOJOTONE, Allparts USA, Eternashine and Caig Labs to name but a few. We also supply refinishing products and stock the full range of Dartfords nitrocellulose, lacquer aerosol cans, so you can refinish your own guitar or contact us to do it for you.
If you are unsure about installing any of our wiring kits or other electronic components, we have for sale we can wire your guitar up for you if you would like to inquire about installation prices.
If there’s guitar or amplifier parts that you’re finding difficult to source, maybe we can help you out. We also offer custom wiring harnesses for guitars and bass, I’ll build any harness the client can dream of.
We stock a wide range of replacement vacuum tubes for tube amplifiers and sell Tube Amp Doctor tubes in Ireland in particular because I like them so much and won’t use anything else for my clone builds and repairs.

Michael Cryan 2021-12-18 Gary did a great job, on a 40 year old Westone Matsumoku electric guitar. He hand made a new nut, repaired the frets. straightened the neck and rewired pick up and toggle switches, as well as cleaning and polishing back all the attached parts. It’s looks as good as new and plays better than ever. A gent to deal with as well.

Ger Maher 2020-11-09 Gary educated me on a wealth of things about my guitars and amps. Bit by bit, we upgraded all my guitars (all electronics, pickups, pots, switches,jacks) and then after he set them up they came back better than the best instruments you can buy. People remark on how great they play. Next Gary did my amps. Did a compete rebuild on a JTM50 clone I had, fixed and retolexed my 1973 Hiwatt combo and 1976 Marshall head... we got my Traynor Bassmaster services and got the mains transformer redipped and he fitted an ohms selector switch, serviced me peavey classic 50 which I had noticed had dropped volume but Gary got her back to 100%. I had thought that my Wem Dominator was fine prior to dropping it to Gary but he found faults, nearly impossible to spot, and upon its return it rocks. I also have a 1973 Nolan that Gary pointed out hadn't been put together all to well on 1970s pub. we were about to.put a handwired Marshall Plexi board into it until I decided that it had a unique tone that I had yet to explore. Gary repaired and made excellent the existing PCB and now its bulletproof.
